Houston's own Sara Brook, owner and chef of Dessert Gallery, is one of 18 finalists in the ABC News Nightline People's Platelist Contest! Help Sara become the country's next famous chef!

The finalist receiving the most votes online will be declared the winner of the contest and announced live on the broadcast on September 27, 2010. Sara's love for baking and serving up delicious treats were evident at the age of 4 when she discovered the excitement of baking with her Easy-Bake oven. She started her first baking business right out of college from her parent's kitchen and since 1995, Sara Brook and her Dessert Gallery crew have been serving up some of Houston's favorite homemade desserts.

Sara was My Table Magazine's 2001 "Pastry Chef of the Year" and a 2010 finalist for the same title, My Table Magazine's 2010 Foodie Star Favorite "Sweets & Ice Cream" and 2008 SBA Woman Business Champion of the Year.
