Dessert Gallery Partners with M. D. Anderson Cancer Center Children's Art Project to Offer Gifts That Keep On Giving
HOUSTON - Dessert Gallery Bakery & Cafe and the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center Children’s Art Project (CAP) have teamed up to create some special gifts that make it easy and delicious to support a great cause! The gifts feature an assortment of Dessert Gallery sweets that are beautifully packaged in/on ceramic works of art featuring designs created by young patients in the Children’s Cancer Hospital at M. D. Anderson. One-hundred-percent of sales of CAP products sold at Dessert Gallery benefits the children of M. D. Anderson. CAP returns all sales profits to fund programs benefiting both children and adults at M. D. Anderson. Giving back never tasted so good!
“Unfortunately, just about everyone has been touched by cancer in some way,” says Sara Brook, owner/chef of Dessert Gallery. “Through my own nephew’s treatment for cancer, I saw what a difference the art makes to the children, so healing through art is very near and dear to my heart. The Children’s Art Project is such a hopeful and positive program that does so much good, and it is an honor for Dessert Gallery to be affiliated with it. I love the idea of items made with the children’s artwork being filled with our cookies, brownies and other goodies – it’s just such a natural fit.”
