Shipping & Delivery Policy

We guarantee to ship on time; we do not guarantee arrival times because we are at the mercy of FedEx, just like you are. All shipping issues must be taken up with FedEx, not with Dessert Gallery.

For your convenience, we offer secure on-line ordering that encrypts all personal information. 

For answers to questions not addressed here, or to place orders by phone, please call us Mon - Fri, 8am - 5pm CST. 

PLEASE NOTE: The cut-off time for delivery is noon the prior day Mon - Fri. 

We are unable to dispatch drivers with less than 24 hours' notice.

LOCAL DELIVERY (Houston Metro Area only)

Delivery within the Houston Metro Area is available using DG drivers and we require 24 hours advanced notice Monday - Friday. When placing an order, you must indicate a time range during which delivery should be made. Delivery will be made within a one-hour window before and after desired time given. Price is based on distance. Rates start at $25.00.

Incorrect addresses: Our drivers deliver to residential and business addresses Mon - Fri. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the delivery address is correct. If an incorrect address is provided, DG will attempt to redirect your package, so it is delivered in a timely manner. DG cannot be held responsible for delayed or failed delivery if delivery address is incorrect. Any additional charges incurred due to incorrect delivery address will be passed on to the customer.

If no one is available at the time of delivery, our driver will attempt to leave the delivery with a neighbor. For an additional delivery fee, we can schedule another delivery the next day with an updated address or delivery time, should the contact person be unavailable on original delivery date. 

Liability: DG is not liable for misdirected and/or delayed packages if incomplete or inaccurate address information was provided at the time the order was placed. DG is not responsible for any damages or non-delivery of products if the intended recipient is not available to receive the package. DG is not responsible for damaged or delayed packages due to construction delays or to severe weather conditions, such as heat, cold, rain, etc. at the delivery point.

Refunds and exchanges:  If you are not completely satisfied with our products, please contact us within two business days of the delivery date to discuss. We will make every effort to correct any issues on our part through replacement of a product or refund. Products that are returned as a result of delivery exceptions are non-refundable.

SHIPPING (Outside of the Houston Metro Area*)

Dessert Gallery ships to all states in the continental U.S. via FedEx and, upon leaving DG premises, will arrive between noon and 5pm the following day. Note, FedEx does not ship to P.O. Boxes, APO's or FPO's. *Please note: desserts shipped to destinations outside of the Houston Metro Area will ship within 48 hours of date needed to ensure freshness upon arrival.  

Shipping & Handling:  We take special care of our desserts when shipping to friends and family outside of Houston. When your dessert arrives, it should look and taste as fabulous and fresh as if you picked it up in person. Cakes are shipped overnight in special insulated packaging with dry ice. Items will arrive at your doorstep in a partially frozen to thawed state. When you receive your shipment, remove the contents and either refrigerate or freeze them.

Shipping dates:  We ship Mon - Thurs to arrive Tues - Fri. 

Tracking packages: You will receive a shipping confirmation e-mail and FedEx tracking number for your package on the day that your package leaves our premises. To track your package, simply click on the link within the email to follow the package on its journey to your recipient.

Incorrect addresses: FedEx delivers to residential and business addresses Tues - Fri. Packages are shipped next day for delivery between noon and 5:00pm. Please ensure the shipping address is correct. If an incorrect address is provided, Dessert Gallery will work with FedEx to redirect the package, so your gift is delivered in a timely manner. Dessert Gallery cannot be held responsible for delayed or failed delivery if shipping address is incorrect. Any additional charges incurred from FedEx for incorrect delivery address will be passed on to the customer.
